“Stromkörper” explores how water, data, and bodies move together through space. It is based on measurements from the Horst hydropower plant in Essen, including flow rate, turbine output, and energy generation, which are linked to environmental parameters from the Ruhr region. This information creates a digital body whose movements become visible in an endless video loop. However, this data choreography is not only visual, but also opens up a physical access: A choreographic score consisting of text instructions and floor markings invites visitors to move themselves and trace the data in their own bodies. This creates a field of tension between technology, environment, and choreography, which brings together scientific measurement, digital transformation, and human experience. “Stromkörper” makes visible how closely natural resources, energy production, and physical presence are linked, and translates complex data streams into a sensual, participatory experience.
