The festival presents itself as an open laboratory for digital culture in the Dortmunder U. Together with the kiU of FH Dortmund and the Kollektiv Page 21, the foyer becomes a playing field for immersive experiments in which image, sound and interaction intermesh. With the uzwei on the second floor, NEXT LEVEL is designing charged workshops for young audiences.

A discourse program called “Enjoy Community” is running in the Kino im U, and on other days the screen itself becomes a console and invites you to play together. Concerts and performances expand the program and make the U a place where artistic practice, gaming culture and collective experience merge.
