Octopussy – a performative escape room The Octopussy is a long-forgotten place — a promising tale of a better world. 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. Or how did that go again? The pirate Ann revels in memories of her old days at sea and a place where a new world begins. No time to dream! Ann’s beloved Octopussy is in danger! All she needs is the right special team to restore balance in the Octopussy. Will you dare to venture on this journey into the depths of the octopus? Themes such as toxic masculinity, sexualized violence & sexism are dealt with in this interactive piece in the form of an escape room. Dungeon Crawler The “Dungeon Crawlers,” an ancient guild dedicated to exploring hidden underworlds, have crash-landed in the Westentor underground car park. They traveled through a portal to Dortmund to support the Octopussy special team. However, before they can bring their aid and machinery to the Schauspielhaus, they must first overcome the dangers of the underground car dungeon. “Dungeon Crawler – Automotive Underground” is a live-action role-playing game set in an urban environment. Visitors can take on roles in a science-fantasy story, while performers act as “transmissional agents” who traverse between worlds, interweaving the festival’s venues and formats. The Crawlers are among you! Through quests, storytelling, and artistic interventions, they guide you deep into the hidden spaces of your city. In a narrative exploring tech cult and alternate reality, you’ll participate in the playful reinterpretation of urban space.
