Opening NEXT LEVEL: November 13, 2025

We cordially invite you to the opening ceremony of NEXT LEVEL in Dortmund! Under this year’s theme TRANSmission, the festival opens a space where digital games can be experienced as a medium of translation, transmission, and transformation.

Program start: 6:30 PM at Nansen
Afterwards, we cordially invite you to end the evening with music, conversations, and first impressions of the festival.

At 8:00 PM, the opening performance will take place at the Academy for Theatre and Digitality. Waluigi’s Purgatory by the artist group DMSTFCTN and the musician Evita Manji is an interactive performance about AI, deception, and collective decisions. Attendance of the performance is free for you, but registration is required by November 5 via this form.
