Bird’s-eye view on Dortmund – Walkshop
How is the urban space in Dortmund designed for non-human life? What species live with us – and how could the city become more inviting for them, or not? These questions are the focus of the “Walkshop” around the Dortmunder U. Together, the surroundings will be explored as a shared ecosystem. In small groups, participants use digital tools to collect data: photos, videos, sound recordings, interviews, and observations of urban wildlife and their habitats. Based on this, a “Data Story” is created – a narrative that combines hard facts such as sightings, locations, or sounds with subjective impressions, emotions, and ecological reflections. The walkshop invites you to rethink the city as a shared living space and to use digital forms of storytelling to make perspectives of more-than-human life visible.
